Bar Tee Ranch

We are in the process of getting information together on some of the horses we raised that went on to became money earners or point earners. I know we will never find all of those who went on to become great performers but I will try my best! If you have or had a Bar Tee Ranch horse and have a story to tell please let me know and I will add it to this page. We hope you enjoy going down memory lane with us.

Continental Jester was a 1981 Brown 14.3' AQHA stallion who was our primary stud for over 17 years. We purchased "Joker" as a two year old prospect back in 1983. "Joker" went on to be a NCHA money earner and earned his NCHA Certificate of Ability while being trained and shown by Jerry and Laura Thomas. He is the sire of NRHA and NCHA money earners and an AQHA producer. "Joker was an own son of Continental King and double bred King P234 (a paternal grandson and just off the papers on the maternal side). He's also a grandson of Captain Joker by Captain Jess, a full brother to Poco Bueno. Captain Joker was an AQHA champion boasting 45 Halter and 355 Performance points. Captain Jess himself has 3 Halter and 29 Performance Points. We still have several of his daughters as broodmares and one of his son's as a stallion. Continental Jezarena is a 1991 sorrel AQHA 15' mare. "Jezzy" was a great barrel mare wining over $2000.00, jackets and tack at Rodeos and Jackpots in Oklahoma. She was trained by Laura Thomas and rode by Tara Thomas. Since retirement "Jezzy" has gone on to produce several babies for Bar Tee Ranch and is now in Georgia relaxing and still raising babies. Bar Tee Dartanian is a 1999 Brown gelding. He has won several team ropings in Alabama and has competed in USTRC ropings in several states. I do not know the exact amount of money he has earned at this time. To view Dartanian's pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bar+tee+dartanein

Continental Cactus is a 1996 Sorrel Appaloosa gelding. "Cactus" has been shown by Tara Thomas. He has competed in English, Team Roping, Halter, and Reining. He placed 3rd at the 2001 Nationl Appaloosa Horse Show held in Oklahoma City in Junior Judged Heeling as a four year old. He has gone on to earned over $1000.00 in Team Roping throughout Oklahoma and has earned points in Halter and Team Roping at Appaloosa shows. Bar Tee Scout is a 2004 bay AQHA mare that was sold as a yearling to NC and was trained by Valenine Farm. She is now in Arizona barrel racing and wining money. To view her pedigree go to: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bar+t+scout

Bar Tee Mist is a bay 15’1 AQHA mare. She has gone on to become a wonderful barrel mare and broodmare. She is a money earner, series award winner and is currently in North Carolina running at High School Rodeos. To view Bar Tee Mist’s pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/bar+tee+mist

Continental Maggie is a 1999 bay Appaloosa mare. She is a point earner and show winer in Reining. Maggie was trained by Laura Thomas and shown by both Laura and Tara Thomas. Maggie is currently in retirment at Bar Tee Ranch but we are hoping to get her back into the show pen very soon.
